General
News publishers around the globe embrace the bits and hypes surrounding web 2.0. In their exploration to offer optimal news content to their readers, publishers are looking into the adoption of user generated content (UGC).
Research on e-publishing is rapidly expanding. Within the framework of IBBT, the Flemish Interdisciplinary institute for Broadband Technology, several e-publishing related projects are currently conducted. FLEET, an IWT funded research project on FLEmish E-publishing Trends, ties the different aspects of e-publishing trends, such as user generated content, together (IBBT-SMIT, LSTS, Cemeso, MOFI, MICT, ICRI, CUO, EC/DC, TNO) taking on an interdisciplinary approach.
User generated content is the subject of the first of a joint FLEET & IBBT conference day, to which we have the honor to invite you. We will offer you a broad perspective with several international cases, illustrating some of the economic, social and legal aspects, which will be linked to related FLEET & IBBT research results.
Anyone can register for this event, although an admission fee of 75 Euro should be transferred beforehand. Once registered, you'll receive an official invoice from our part.
Who should attend
This event is especially aimed at news publishers & editors; journalists; ICT, media and communication specialists; researchers in the domains of ICT, sociology, communication and media. But of course anyone with an interest in the subject is welcome to attend.
